The castle has 3 historic rooms of character for your wedding ; the stained glass gallery, the Gothic gallery and the grand neo-Renaissance salon.
Each wedding room can accommodate 30 to 50 people. The stained-glass gallery is located on the first floor, accessible via the castle's magnificent main staircase. The walls adorned with eclectic books, the 16th-century stained glass windows, and the Murano chandeliers will make this room a magical reception venue for around 40 guests. Round tables with skirted tablecloths or rectangular tables are available.
The Gothic gallery and the grand salon are located on the ground floor. The Gothic gallery is ideal for dancing, with its openings overlooking the lower and upper courtyards of the former medieval fortress . The grand salon has the character of 19th-century manor houses; two Corinthian columns flanking the center of the room allow for its exceptional spaciousness. Its wood paneling, painted ceilings, fireplace, grand piano, and family furniture contribute to the desired historical character. Round tables with skirted tablecloths or rectangular tables are available, accommodating up to 50 people. Two elegant openings lead to the grand staircase overlooking the Italian garden and the romantic park with its two-hundred-year-old trees.
Guests can sleep on site in the rooms and suites of the castle, keep, pavilion and lodge and enjoy the park, swimming pool, pond, yoga deck and numerous walking trails.
The terraced garden nestled among the ruins is our couple's favorite spot for the cocktail reception. The secular ceremony is particularly popular on the grand steps, allowing the bride to make her entrance from the top of the castle's majestic stone staircase.
The castle's outbuildings are perfectly suited for larger wedding receptions. Three adjoining reception rooms allow for seated meals for up to 180 guests and a dance floor. Round and rectangular tables with Napoleon chairs are included in the rental. In summer, the reception can be held under the chestnut trees between the outbuildings and the castle, which is illuminated in the evening. The rooms are then used for dancing and lounge areas. A semi-professional kitchen with a large cold room is available for caterers. On the ground and first floors, there are 120 beds in cubicles and twin rooms, sure to delight younger guests or those nostalgic for the bygone days of boarding schools. A 1960s revival, but updated to meet current safety and comfort standards.
The bride and groom and their families have the privilege of staying in the historic part of the castle. The medieval chamber or the Viscount's apartment offer the most coveted spot for the long-awaited wedding night! Fifty people can stay overnight in the castle, keep, pavilion, and living quarters, providing a total accommodation capacity of 170 beds, including the outbuildings!
The Château de la Flocellière allows all or almost all of the guests to stay overnight and enjoy brunch the following day without needing to drive. Everyone can enjoy relaxing by the saltwater pool or in the various gardens of the château's park.

This small cottage, ideal for a family, is located at the entrance to the property, in the former outbuildings of the castle. Spread over two levels, it can accommodate two couples and two children.
Historically, the Jaubretière manor house was one of the many farms belonging to the castle. Its view of the old medieval fortress is breathtaking and exceptional, and its location in the heart of a bocage landscape will delight nature lovers!
A small path connects the castle to the main house. Its large accommodation capacity is perfectly suited for families, friends or work colleagues.
A medieval edifice whose imposing stature recalls the lordly importance of the castle erected in the 12th century. The keep, a key element of medieval castle architecture, served a defensive and protective function. The thickness of the walls in the lower section bears witness to this and will instantly transport our visitors back 900 years! A 15th-century granite spiral staircase leads to each bedroom and apartment. The more athletic can climb the 120 steps to reach the suite of the beautiful Scottish woman. Their effort will be worth the view they will be rewarded with! The kitchen, dining room, and library lounge are located on the lower levels, accessible by a few steps. A French-style terraced garden, surrounded by ruins, will be the perfect spot for pleasant summer evenings. Access to the outdoor saltwater swimming pool is permitted, respecting the castle's limited number of guests. Its discreet and secure location will contribute to the success of your stay.
This wing was rebuilt after the Revolution by the architect Arsène Charrier, who reconstructed this section, which had been burned down by the infernal columns, in a Neo-Renaissance style. It boasts elegant architectural lines, generous and light-filled rooms, a magnificent staircase, and a suite of salons, all paneled in wood with painted ceilings. The grand salon invites tranquility: a book by the fire or perhaps the desire to play the family Steinway concert piano, just waiting to be played! Meals, prepared on-site with fresh, local produce, will delight those nostalgic for the French art of living. Every detail is a step back in time: candlesticks, silverware, crystal glasses, and pendant chandeliers. In summer, everyone can enjoy the large front steps for breakfast under the rays of the rising sun, or for an aperitif at the end of the day facing the tranquility of the romantic park made up of the Italian garden and our remarkable arboretum with exotic and two-hundred-year-old species.
Château de la Flocellière enjoys a verdant setting and exceptional surroundings.
