The association
The Château de la Flocellière is one of the few castles that has been inhabited for over 900 years. Mentioned as early as 1090, the Château de la Flocellière was one of the most important fortresses in Lower Poitou during the Middle Ages.
A historical monument, it now welcomes many visitors attracted by the beauty of its park and architecture.
The Friends of the Château de la Flocellière association, founded in February 2006, brings together all lovers of heritage and those who wish to contribute to the preservation of this site.
The association's objective is to raise awareness of the castle among the local, national and international public, and thus take appropriate measures to develop knowledge of the site, the buildings and the history of this historic residence.
